Overview and Objectives:

The LBP-MTTP program is designed to prepare students to become Mat Certified Pilates Teachers and prepare them for a career in Pilates.

The LBP-MTTP program includes a thorough and comprehensive education in the Pilates principles and the fundamental, intermediate and advanced repertoire on the Mat.

This is a 12-day online program with LIVE 2-hour session per day via Zoom platform.

By completing this program, you will receive the LiveBy Pilates - Mat Pilates Teacher certification, which will enable you to start your highly fulfilling Pilates career.

You will learn:

• The Pilates movement principles and history

• Functional Anatomy: The Musculoskeletal system, joints and planes of motion

• Posture types, assessment, deviation, and corrective goals

• Fundamental, intermediate and advanced Pilates repertoire on the Mat.

• Exercise contraindications, modifications and adaptation for the different body types and conditions

• Designing effective and safe class programs

Pre-requisites:

• It is recommended to have previous experience in Pilates or a related form of fitness activity.

• Not suitable if you have Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, spinal fusion, or disc pathologies such as bulged or herniated discs, Stenosis or Spondylolisthesis. Contact us to assess suitability based on your specific condition.

Certification Requirements:

• Attendance of all modules (24 hours)

• 10 hours observations (observation of approved online classes is acceptable at this time)

• 40 hours independent practice

• 40 hours teaching practice (teaching relatives and/or friends, in person or online)

• 70% or better passing grade on all examinations

A complete online video library of the exercises.

Other considerations and extra fees:

• Final written and practical examination to be individually scheduled within 2 weeks after completion of last day of program (exceptions may be considered on case by case scenario). Final examination fees are included in tuition. However, there will be a re-testing fee of $100 per occurrence if required.

• Additional mentoring sessions are available on demand at regular private session pricing.
